Little does the piano suspect...
That its about to be taken completely apart - again!
2 coats of lacquer later...
Looks great with fallboard closed too.
Close-up.The pictures don't do it justice, after lacquering the instrument, it just glows. No more dry looking wood! Apparently, it didn't have a finish on it to start with, which is why the finish rejuvination of 3 September 2007 was able to do it so much good. I was simply able to apply the lacquer over the top of everything with great results, I didn't have to strip it or stain it like the sewing table I did last year.
