Time to start replacing the bridle straps...

Old bridle straps are dirty, rotten, and stinky...
The first new strap goes in!
Cutting out the old one.
The first several are put in...
And now the entire bass is done, but not yet hooked up to the wires...
Now all the bass straps are connected to their respective wires.
Did all the way up to #46, 2 past the halfway point. I would have stopped at #44
(Exact center), except #46 was the strap I lost several weeks ago (Making temporary
repairs to it at that time). Many others were/are getting ready to let go!
Piles of new (left) and old (right) bridle straps are about equal in size now...
This is a VERY tedious job - not hard, just tedious. I was able to do slightly more than half the instrument at this time - hopefully I'll be able to finish next weekend.
